Chasing Fairy TalesBright eyes shining bright
A fire burning in the night
Raven hair blown in the wind

Lost forever in darkened woods

This fairy tale you hopelessly chase
Flitters always just out of view
Out in the light, away from you
Endlessly on you pointlessly reach
This hopeless lesson you do teach
A warning to go out to the lost
Buried in the burning frost

ReflectionsI contemplate of the dissociative phases,
marking a past and hesitant future wandering beyond the black,
painting a crimson canvas and hushed memories,
wandering away from a distant reality;

these limbs are not attached,
nor is the mind to a heartbeat,
gradually seeping within the soil,
and silencing the last plea for redemption.

The Deadly ArrowOh beloved son of Venus
What power thou dost wield
To thy arrows poison
Both Gods and man must yield

Unerring Cupids aim
Bites deep the arrowhead
And so the feckless heart
Sups on what is fed

Come rising tide of passion
Come well of deep despair
Stoic will defeated

At Cupids mercy we do fall
Joy or sadness our surrender
For we can but give our all...

TogetherBehold the floodlit stage
On which the game is played
My soul the willing actor
That one that chose to stay

My script it was appointed
The Gods they gave no choice
Oh mortal heart afflicted
My task to give thee voice

So like a swollen river
Emotions they doth flow
Each falling tear extracting
A price they may not know

Thus in my hands I hold thee
Oh brittle, broken heart
None like I doth know thee
Of each other we are part

And still the curtain rises
Late summer acts to play
Of this my friend be certain
Together we'll wend our way

Wounded but still beating
I swear to be thy wings
Whatever words be given

In the face of gathering doom

Stairs that lead forever down
Rooms without a windows light
Corridors that lead nowhere
This the hell that I must fight

Shallow words that others speak
Hope and strength and light
In Stygian darkness simply lost
They know not depressions might

Cold and bare this lonely place
Its walls whisper "I belong"
Stripped of worth and self esteem
I surrender and join its song...

When I cut myself, the angels watch.
I remind them of you, Mary
As a huddled girl, the stone behind your body,
A blank slate, waiting for words, the sharp prick of a dove's beak.
I cut lightly into my belly,
No scar, it seeps into me, becomes me.
My hands move slowly
As though they are being led by the letters, no closed circles,
Just lines and loops that lead out of themselves.
I do not want scars, just lines slender as snakes.
One of the angels wants to write her name,
Etched river reeds, a shattering of glass.
When I taste my blood, I taste of plums.
Mary, handmaiden, entrance to heaven,

Wondrous heavenly rapture

Kisses start light and sweet.
Hands moving to stimulate.

Taste the salty sweat of entwined bodies.

Music plays in the ears of lovers.
The moans and hushed breathes of the lovers play to the

It's the chill in the air
That hurts to the bone
It's a moment in time
That you can't get back

You just know you lack…

So, I imagine a young (late teens, early twenties) homeless couple during winter. The guy is trying to make the girl see that everything will be okay so long as they're together. She gets sick and dies and leaves him all alone. Depressing, I know, but in a beautiful way. At least I think so.

I can't figure out a title for this one. Any ideas are much appreciated.
